The exploration of the vast reef, either by snorkeling or by snorkeling, is worth the trip alone (about 35-40 minutes from Port-Moselle by boat). Historically, the ship Larégnère made a stopover in 1854 in Nouméa, hence the name of the islet. It is wooded and bordered by a white sandy beach, and Nouméans visit it on weekends in lesser numbers than on Amédée islet. It is a nature reserve, with many birds nesting there. You can come and camp, swim, dive... all year round. Ask the taxi-boats for details. This islet is small but - like the others - absolutely beautiful.
