This is the village that at the time hosted the famous jumping cat monastery on the lake. If the place has kept its nickname, the cats don't jump anymore. On the other hand, you can still visit it to discover statues of Buddha. It is one of the main villages of the lake. If you don't choose by yourself the route you want to take on the lake, your dugout driver will surely drop you off at Ywama. This is a must in a day trip on the lake, as it is home to the most famous market in the area, and to goldsmith's workshops, sometimes a little too touristy for our taste, it is still interesting to observe the way the craftsmen work the silver. There is also an umbrella workshop to visit. Several restaurants are accessible in this corner of the lake, if hunger is felt at this time of the day when you meet the Inle Lake and its villages
