Located in an old wooden building, the Big Tree is a pleasant and interesting place. It is a bookstore, café, and restaurant offering Asian specialties, especially Korean and Laotian, with European influences in the mornings. Small dining room on the ground floor and outdoor terrace overlooking the Mekong on several levels, in the shade of the famous tree that gave its name to the place. The gallery exhibits superb photos of the country with the possibility of buying a quality print as a souvenir. The place has character and the reception is friendly.
