Located opposite Wat Simuang, Monument Books & Toys is a very nice bookstore, probably the most important one in Vientiane, with a large choice of books in French, English and Lao, mainly about Asia: beautiful books, novels, travel guides, history books, ethnology books, maps, etc... The books are new. An address which is worth the detour to find a book on Laos to read during your trip. As its name suggests, many toys are also on the shelves of this eclectic store.
