What the three previous hotels tried to do, the Burj Al Salam hotel succeeded. It is the largest hotel in the old town, in a splendid typical building, with quality services. The decoration presents the best in the taste of Yemen. The service is of perfect quality, the management of the hotel also. Breakfast is served on the terrace which dominates the city south, and the meals take place on the same floor while you can rest in the common mafraj. This is the hotel when you get off.

The Burj al Salam is so impecc to Western standards that my room on the 1st floor (with views of a blind wall,) I rather felt in Zurich Sanaa.! I fled this place impersonal to find the fabulous charm of a typical hotel.
