It is good to get lost through the quiet streets of Inhambane. The city lives to the rhythm of the ferries arriving from Maxixe and departing across the bay. As soon as the first restored colonial houses appear, the town takes on a chic look, with a vast white dominance and a few wide avenues where people don't rush. Portuguese style is omnipresent. People seem rare. But of course, the hustle and bustle is not far away, at the market or on the pier. As night falls, especially in summer, the city emerges from its long siesta. Young people gather, and the street is where it all happens. The beach is the center of interest for all vacationers. Chapas link the town to the "villages": the beaches of Tofo and Barra. All you have to do is climb on and wait for the chapas to fill up before setting off. We prefer to stay at the beach and make a few "urban incursions" to visit the city, understand its history, go to the market and feel the atmosphere.
