Travellers to southern Mozambique often do not stay in the city of the same name. At the south exit of the city, head towards the pretty beach of Xai-Xai. You will have to continue for a few kilometers and take the junction at the Motel Concha, then a few more minutes before you arrive facing the Indian Ocean. Here, wild dunes and fine sand, rocks and turquoise waters mingle. At low tide you can enjoy the small natural pools that form in the hollow of the rocks. If you don't have a car, you should know that chapas, the local buses, make the trip from the center of Xai-Xai.
