Inhaca is very popular with Maputo's inhabitants, who go there mainly at weekends, as they have to work. It's an island paradise, and that's enough to fill the boats. A classified, unspoilt island, the first in a chain of islands scattered along the Mozambique coast, each more beautiful than the last. The beaches are very different, with the calm lagoon on one side, the tumultuous ocean on the other, and 44 km² of land whose biodiversity has attracted more than one scientist. The peace and quiet is absolute, with only a few fishing villages to be found. But Inhaca is beautiful and above all very authentic, and it's a real pleasure to get away from a hectic capital by boat to find this little fishing island.
