In front of the sea, on an exceptional site, in front of the small port of Pedra Badejo, the Villa São José is a guest house (rooms and table of hosts) located in a calm and restful environment, which proposes to you an authentic and convivial Cape Verdean stay. It is very close to a black sand beach and evergreen valleys with plantations of coconut trees, banana trees, papaya trees, mango trees, sugar canes...

You will be welcomed by Bernard, a former French doctor, and his son Guillaume (Tomy), of Cape Verdean origin, who will advise you and propose activities, hikes, visits and discovery of Cape Verde and its inhabitants, or even idleness according to your desires.

Villa São José is located 30 minutes from Praia, the capital of the Republic of Cape Verde and its international airport. It is 3 km from Pedra Badejo (Santa Cruz), where you will find shops and services, and you can travel all over the island of Santiago by rented car (the most practical option) or by local transport: "Hiace or Hilux" (which will immerse you in the life of the inhabitants).

Villa São José has 5 comfortable independent rooms, all overlooking the ocean and the patio.

It offers guests a restaurant-lounge, a covered terrace facing the sea, a recreation room (television, reading, games, relaxation ...), a large terrace above the building offering a superb 360° panoramic view of the sea and the mountains, and a large plot of land surrounding the house.

You can also benefit from free WIFI access in the whole establishment.

A hearty breakfast will be served in the morning (included in the price of the room) and meals will be offered on request, combining Cape Verdean and French cuisine to help you discover the specialties of this small country.

Walks and hikes can be made from Villa São José, as well as the tour of the island. Many possibilities of outings, possibly with a French speaking guide, hikes of different levels of difficulty, beaches, mountains and also bird and turtle watching, even whale watching... depending on the season.

Thanks to its central location on the east coast, Villa São José can be the ideal base for discovering the whole island of Santiago: accommodation and half-board on a quiet and exceptional site, easy access to the whole island in three directions: south to Praïa, Cidade Velha..., center to Assomada..., north to Tarrafal...
