Travel Guide Picos

Perched on the edge of a mountain, the small village of Picos (or Achada Igreja) is delightful. A feeling of being far from everything, as if at the end of the world... The view over the valley is sublime, with a high rock strangely cut out in the middle, quite curious and characteristic of the place. The street leads to the church of São Salvador do Mundo, along pretty coloured houses. You can also visit the beautiful flowery cemetery. This is a must if you want to get off the coast and off the beaten track. Take a break at the Piku Antonio restaurant, in the heart of the village, and immerse yourself in the local life for a meal.
