Vila das Pombas faces the sea for about 1 km and is the starting point for a beautiful walk through the nature in the Paúl valley (about 4 hours walking). In the village, you can admire the oldest trapiche (traditional mill) of Cape Verde, probably dating from the 17th century. It is located in a courtyard, inside a large building with a wooden door, near the gas station, under the statue of Santo Antonio. The grogue and the Napoleon punch are made here, named after the ox that turns the trapiche. If you can't find it, just ask, the place is known to all
