This cosy restaurant is housed in a colonial-style house, with a book-covered wall and a few small tables outside where it's very pleasant to dine in the open air... In the kitchen, they prepare small dishes and succulent Cape Verdean tasting platters... A house to recommend for gourmets and fans of Cape Verdean music, who will enjoy the bargain every Sunday and Wednesday evening. On other evenings, there are occasional surprises: a capoeira show, improvisation by visiting musicians, and more.

Je suis souvent allée au restaurant le Gato Preto. On y mange très bien, même si je trouve que depuis le changement de propriétaire et sans Teresa, l'ambiance n'est plus tout à fait ce qu'elle était! snif. Mais les nouveaux propriétaires (un couple franco-capverdien) sont très gentils et serviables. Il y a de la musique live en général les mercredi et dimanche!

Pour un dîner en musique, ne pas rater les musiciens tous les mercredis soirs...
Very pleasant and lively place. The cuisine is very good. Concert 2 times a week! atmosphere guaranteed!
