First international airport of the archipelago, it is today one of the main gateways of Cape Verde. Equipped with the longest runways in the country, it bears the name of the national hero of the fight for independence. There is a bureau de change open 7 days a week until 1am, car rental agencies, travel agencies, two banks and an ATM, CV Telecom and T+ agencies, a bar and an information point. The airport shops stay open late into the night.
