Souvenir shop located in the municipal market run by the petulant Gigi, alias Giselle, Cape Verdean who totally embodies the local spirit. She lived in France and came back to live in the country of Morabeza. She welcomes you with a smile amidst local handicrafts, souvenirs and sweets made according to grandmother's recipes. There is also wine and coffee from Fogo, rum from Santo Antão, cane molasses and homemade punch that you can taste on the spot and even aloe vera, excellent against sunburn and ready to use (instructions are also available). It also offers paintings, shell necklaces and original tortoise shell picks - guitarists will undoubtedly appreciate it -, but also shell-shaped magnets, books from Cape Verde Virginie Vieira (written in French), by Pascal Laborde on sliding sports, kite, surfing... Moreover, you could meet Pascal in the shop, he is a guide (affordable and degressive rates) and will be able to tell you about his Cape Verde with erudition and share with you his passion for these islands. Great encounters to get to know the archipelago better.
Open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. Closed from August 15th to September 30th.
