Located on the pedestrian street opposite the church, the famous Americo's boasts the distinction of having been the very first restaurant to open its doors in Santa Maria. It has undergone several renovations to become this beautiful, modern, designer restaurant. It's a 100% Cape Verdean, family-run establishment with 3 dining rooms, specializing in lobster (November to May), grilled meats and fish, not forgetting meats (beef matured in a Josper oven). It also boasts the country's largest wine cellar.

Cependant, le serveur m'a dit de ne pas m'inquiéter ni de me presser, ce qui était très rassurant. Pendant ce temps, beaucoup de gens commandaient des cafés ou des bières, mais c'était différent lorsque deux personnes occupaient une table. J'ai commandé environ 4300 CVE entre la nourriture et les boissons, mais ce n'était pas évident pour les personnes qui arrivaient. Malheureusement, je n'ai pas pu laisser de pourboire sur la carte et j'ai demandé 15 à 16 euros en échange d'un billet de 20 euros, mais cela n'a pas été accepté non plus. Honnêtement, je ne saurais trop recommander le service.
