This village on the border with the Czech Republic, not to be confused with the Carinthian Gmünd in the district of Spittal an der Drau, has the advantage of being off the main road. It's very quiet and its rustic character remains intact. To get to Gmünd from Horn, you have to cross forested plateaus covered in fir and birch trees. The small town, which values its heritage, is home to several museums, including the town museum in the former town hall, the observation museum in the former forge, as well as the rock and glass museums. You can also visit the Catholic church and the Protestant temple.
