A few kilometers east of Reutte, Breitenwang has a 17th century church with a fresco by the Tyrolean painter Johann Jakob Zeiler depicting the handing over of the keys to St. Peter, and a chapel with stucco reliefs depicting the Dances of Death. The Plansee, the second largest lake in Tyrol after the Achensee, lies within the municipality. The quality of its water makes it a suitable lake for bathing and is popular with divers and water sports enthusiasts; it is also possible to rent rowing boats and pedal boats.
