Charming, typical village at an altitude of 1,000 metres at the foot of the Grubigstein mountain. Skiing area nearby and the possibility to reach Germany's highest peak (2,962 m) by cable car. This is one of the oldest settlements around the village of Reutte. From Lermoos there are hiking trails, paragliding take-off points, mountain bike trails and of course skiing and snowboarding opportunities In winter, the municipality also offers numerous snow-cleared hiking trails, as well as 110 kilometres of cross-country ski trails.
