Ansfelden, a small, peaceful town on the banks of the Traun and Krems rivers, is the birthplace of the 19th-century composer of post-romantic music, Anton Bruckner. The house where he was born on September 4, 1824, is the place to pay tribute to him. The Bruckner Centre, a museum of musical instruments, was opened in 1996. Other memorabilia of the famous musician can be seen in the village, including a bust made by a sculptor from Linz, the city where he was the cathedral organist, for the centenary of his birth and installed near the square-roofed church in Ansfelden. Nearby is the grave of the composer's father.
