Hotel near a beautiful beach and the magnificent Latrabjarg, large bird cliff, guesthouse open from mid-May to mid-September
Located a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach, this building is a former rural school that has been transformed into a charming hotel. The rooms are spacious and en-suite. Hotel Latrabjarg, run by Sigridur Huld Gardarsdottir (Sirry) and Karl Eggertsson, is located near the beautiful Latrabjarg, one of Europe's largest bird cliffs. Located in Örlygshöfn, on the road 615, on the south side of the fjord Patreksfjörður, the guesthouse is open from mid-May every year to mid-September. Beautiful beach 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

We were really happy that we could stay at this Hotel: nice and big rooms and brand new private bath rooms. The hosts are super friendly. Dinner is a bit pricy but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Highly recommend!

La chambre est spacieuse et rénovée. Chambre extrêmement chaude en raison des baies vitrées en plein soleil, et salle de bain non nettoyée entre deux clients, poubelle débordante de déchets. Pas de réception, on s’est débrouillé pour trouver la clé. Un panneau indique tous les noms et numéros de chambres. C’est le seul endroit sans réception des clients. Repas étonnant car seulement un menu unique pour tous. Pas de possibilité d’avoir d’autres mets si allergie ou aversion. En résumé, on paie 65.00 CHF soit 10000 couronnes islandaises pour un repas non choisi et qui n’est pas à la hauteur du prix exorbitant. (Le plus élevé depuis 10 jours). Si on ne peut pas manger une partie du repas, il est tout de même facturé entièrement. C’est la première fois qu’on est déçu en Islande. La salle à manger et les espaces communs sont restés d’un autre temps, ce qui peut avoir son charme. bel emplacement !!!
