This small fishing village of just 400 souls is a must-see along the coast of Steingrímsfjörður. The panoramic views of the surrounding area and the fjord provide a first glimpse of the landscapes that make up the western fjords. As for sightseeing, stop off at the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, with its many ancient and reconstructed objects. In fact, 80% of all recorded cases of witchcraft in Iceland occurred in the West Fjords region. You'll learn, for example, that most witches in Iceland were in fact... wizards! It's also a good place to refuel, stock up on food or spend the night.
