The "   mountain of the   quarry" is a row of hills of naked sand. A soufre of sulfur and sublimated deposits, it gives the impression of a small desert. It was once a career used on behalf of the King of Denmark. It is here at the foot of the mountain, with the unusual and tormented landscapes of Námaskarð that best observe the geological diversity of the region.A small observation platform overlooks the largest mud pot in boiling. Beware of not straying from trails; under the earth's crust, the soil is heated from 80 to 100   ° C.
