Three-star hotel with a breathtaking view of Iceland's highest mountain, located off Route 1.
Without being exceptional, this 3 star hotel located in a white building with rooms all equipped with bathroom remains a good address. On the spot, a restaurant to enjoy after a day. It is also very well located to explore the surrounding glaciers and only 800 m from the Svínafellsjökull glacier arm, sheltered by a moraine. The hotel has a breathtaking view of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnukur, and Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajökull. The hotel is located on the edge of Route 1, a few kilometres from Skaftafell.

Bra location, promenadavstånd till Svinafells glaciär och ca 40 min bilresa till Jökulsárlón där långa glaciärturer utgår från. Rummen lämnade dock mer att önska, vår ev luktade väldigt illa och var i behov av renovering.
Middagen är DYR!!! 50 euro för en fiskrätt.

Beautiful place to stay! Super quiet, clean, and with a friendly staff. Also there is a 30 minutes hike to the glacier from this hotel. Restaurant is a bit small, but great food (see pictures) and good service. Also, breakfast was included.

Hatten 1 Problem mit dem Laden des Teslas gegenüber dem Hotel.
Hilfe von der Reception gleich Null, hatten einfach zugehört aber niemand fand es für nötig nach einer Lösung zu suchen. Zum Glück war das Personal vom gegenüber liegenden Restaurant/Shop um so hilfsbereiter.

Only giving 4 stars because the bathroom was a bit dirty. Mold in the shower and a few other locations that could easily be cleaned and the toilet hadn't been flushed since the last guest...
