Hunkubakkar Farm (sheep, horses, dogs) is a cute and welcoming place to stop off. Here, you'll have a choice of accommodation in small cottages offering a wide range of comfort and prices: rooms with shared bathroom (two rooms per small cottage) or a whole cottage with 3 beds. The rooms are decorated in a classic style, and the chalets are very pleasant, although they may seem a little small for some tastes. There's also a restaurant on site (but you'll need to order in advance). Reservations essential.

Endroit bucolique avec personnel très gentil et au petits soins avec les hôtes. Repas du soir copieux et délicieux avec agneau de la ferme.

This guest house has an amazing restaurant in a peaceful location. Paula was our hostess and mentioned that the lamb at the restaurant is from her father's farm. I tried the grilled lamb,and I usually don't like lamb but it was delicious. The dessert was wonderful and the Hunkbakker coffee with rum was smooth and tasty. I'm going to have so much working out to do. The rooms and bathroom were clean with a shared bathroom. Our room mates were kind and excited about the trip too. Loved the experience.

Room was warm, quiet, clean, comfortable mattress. I had a shared bathroom but it was clean & there were no issues as other guests were clean & respectful. Fun part was that you get like your own tiny house, it's a fun interesting experience, especially if aurora is around. It is very quiet both in the room
I really enjoyed dinner course menu, I think it was worth the money & the quality was definitely very good. They were also accepting & accommodating of my dietary restrictions, thank you! And the dinner was especially nice with a great choice of calm jazzy evening music - very relaxing after a long day. It was one of the most memorable dinner experiences while in Iceland, I really enjoyed it.
Breakfast was OK, with usual options in Icelandic hotels/guesthouses. Check in/out was quick, seamless. Staff very nice all the time. Parking free on premises.
