Þórsmörk (or Thórsmörk) is one of Iceland's most beautiful places. Mountains, glaciers and rivers form natural boundaries around this valley, which therefore benefits from a microclimate. Naturally verdant, in 2010 the valley was cloaked in a thick layer of ash from the Eyjafjöll volcano. But if spring was a "gray" season, nature quickly reclaimed its rights in Þórsmörk and the grass has reappeared. This valley has always been difficult to access. Even today, only 4×4 cars (and a few off-road buses) can use the track leading to it.
