A beautiful hotel with rooms that have a nice view
Renovated and open since 2019, the Geysir Hotel is a superb hotel comprising 77 rooms and 6 suites. From the outside, the hotel's multiple facades reflect the natural environment that surrounds it. Inside, the tones are woody and luminous, and each room boasts a pleasant view. A restaurant is also available. The staff's friendly service is also second to none, and well within the budget for an overnight stay. The ideal place to enjoy a magical experience.

The hotel and restaurant were so much more than we expected. Seeing the northern lights and walking across the street to view the geysers were an added bonus.

5 stars for everything. Amazing hotel, amazing room, amazing service, amazing location (near to the famous geyser) . You can see northern light from here.
Kudos to the complete team, always cheerful, always welcoming, always smiling, always ready to help. They have a fantastic restaurant with really delicate food and Adrian was an amazing host. Jessica helped us in getting our rooms with ease.

This hotel definitely scores a 5⭐️ The facilities are magnificent. We spent hours playing cards in their sitting areas, off of the main lobby. Every team member was kind, easy to speak with and just had an overall happy demeanour.
Complementary breakfast with a nice variety of options. They offer a nighttime service that will call you if the Northern lights are active outside.
Everything set up here is done with environmentally friendly intentions top of mind. For example, the hallway lights turn off if no one is there, but when you step out they turn on right away. Their trash bins are divided in cardboard, plastic and waste, and when you leave the room and take the key, it automatically cuts all electricity off in your room… Super cool ???? I can’t say enough about this property.
Oh and the lady doing the Christmas decorating was lovely and did an amazing job!
