Warning do not stay here / waste your money
1. Food
There is only a set menu with 1 option of food a day so if you don’t like what is on the menu, tough luck. Nearest restaurant with options is a 9 min drive or 2 hour walk if you want to enjoy a pint.
Breakfast is €17 for a cheap array of food with basic yogurt and cereal being the highlight.
2. Room
No tv, if you want a double bed it is just 2 single beds pushed together with single duvets. Water provided is from the bathroom (ew) as informed by staff. The housekeeping do a sorry and disgraceful attempt at cleaning the room. They don’t refill coffee station nor do they make the bed. Asked for both of these and was ignored by staff. Please see photo of ‘cleaned’ room.
3. Hotel
Hotel has no reception nor lobby. Besides your room and the unwelcoming restaurant there is a room with old chairs, a piano and a display cabinet to relax in. Couldn’t even put in a coffee stand in it.
Would not stay here again nor recommend. The staff, facility, location, food option are all failures and besides it being close to the cathedral I think it would be closed down. I’m not sure where anyone that gave this a hotel a decent review stayed but their standards must be very low.
Save your money and time and book somewhere else!

Das Hotel, nahezu am Ende der Welt gelegen, bietet - neben der herrlichen Ruhe - unheimlich viel für Körper, Seele und Geist (und Magen). Ich kann ees zum Aufenthalt nur jedem Island-Reisenden empfehlen. Das junge Team, die Lage, die Kirche sind eine wunderbare Einheit.

Very good restaurant, beware set menu only, but it is very good.
Surprisingly it was folly booked on the day of our arrival as local bike club had an event there. Next day it was half empty.
Rooms are clean and very quiet. Good shower.
Plenty of free parking
Good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.
Reception of the hotel is the bar at the restaurant.
