Located in the south-east of the Bessin region, a good ten kilometers from Bayeux, Tilly-sur-Seulles, and its 1,700 or so inhabitants, has belonged to the Seulles Terre et Mer community of communes since January1 , 2017. A victim of the Second World War - liberated and retaken 23 times! -the commune retains a wealth of history and remains a dynamic, friendly village. Its listed sites include the Notre-Dame-du-Val chapel, home to the Battle of Tilly Museum, the 11th-century Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre, and an attractive medieval bridge over the Seulles River.
