This small fishing village, grouped around a mosque, is located in the north of the country, near Ras Siyan, facing the Seven Brothers archipelago, on the N15 (a road that runs along the coastline to the north). The French translation of its name comes from the word kabi'lou, meaning "which has panthers". This feline, once coveted by the Egyptians, unfortunately no longer populates the area. The French settlers had installed in Khor Angar a military post well isolated. It is strictly inadvisable today to venture beyond Khor Angar. The entire border area with Eritrea is a military zone and therefore totally off limits to visitors.
