Ali Addeh is above all a crossroads of wadis and tracks. The village is dominated to the south by the Bourra Mountains and to the north by the impressive 790m high tabular plateau of Lougag Ali (300m above Ali Addeh). Going north to Hol by the N5, you can branch off on a track that follows the Danan wadi to contemplate beautiful reliefs (plateaus, deep wadis) and stop at water points known to nomads but also to wildlife. Ali Addeh is also an important base for the UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, which in January 2021 housed 16,330 refugees, mostly Somalis and Ethiopians.
