Il Giardino degli Aranci, like the beautiful orange tree garden that separates the two rooms of this restaurant-bar, which has been run for ages by Mister Andrea. The walls are decorated with photos of all the stars who have passed through here, including the most famous, Maradona. Every evening, from 9pm, the musicians of the establishment come to put the atmosphere and make the customers sing on a background of Neapolitan serenades. Good food, hearty pizzas and a varied menu with original dishes, such as snails in curry. Reserve a table in season at lunchtime for the evening.

A little bit lost in the forest, a little bit far from everything, near a magnificent thermal spring with soothing virtues. Fortunately the bus stops at the bottom of via Nitrodi, two minutes from the restaurant. Rustic decoration for an exceptional quality/price ratio, knowing that the dishes are as copious as they are tasty. Try the house specialities, rabbit alla cacciatora and the divinely flavoured tomato bruschette . Good local wines and a warm, authentic atmosphere. A well-kept secret of the locals.

Cocò is a real institution in Ischia Ponte, with an incomparable location at the foot of the Aragonese castle. It is a bar and a restaurant, popular with tourists and locals alike, and is a great place to stop at any time of the day for a coffee, a cocktail or to enjoy its excellent fish-based cuisine. Everything is fresh and of high quality, from the seafood sauté with white wine, to theimpepata di cozze (mussel dish) and the fish of the day, caught off Ischia, to be accompanied by one of the island's good wines. A sure value!

Il Focolare is a family story, the d'Ambra family, very attached to its land. The grandfather already cultivated the vineyard in the 1930s and was the biggest wine exporter in Ischia. In 1991, the trattoria was born, which occupies the whole family, a real crew, as they define themselves. The boys are in the kitchen, under the critical eye of the mamma, and Antonella advises the best wines to accompany the meal. On the plate, typical ischiote preparations cooked with the products of the island and flavoured with wild herbs.

Adorable fish establishment in blue and white tones, built on stilts, on the Lido beach. It is entirely glassed in and offers a superb view of the sea, the island of Procida opposite and the Bay of Naples. The place is particularly romantic in the evening. The welcome is charming and the refined cuisine exalts the flavour of the fish and seafood. We liked the assortment of croquettes as antipasti, the risotto with vongole and rocket pesto, the pasta with scampi and courgette cream, as well as the good selection of white wines.

No fish and seafood here: at Bracconiere, Ischia's highest restaurant, you'll be served "poacher's food", made from the good products of this generous island. The speciality is rabbit, but the house also offers grilled meats, plates of antipasti that can make up a meal on their own, and cheese pasta served inside rustic bread, so that the crust soaks up the sauce. A good address to try, for example, after climbing Monte Epomeo.

A somewhat isolated restaurant, which enjoys a splendid panoramic position over Ischia Porto and the sea on the horizon. In an old-fashioned room, Damiano prepares authentic and traditional Ischia cuisine for his guests. He has his own rabbit farm, and his small estate provides him with the vegetables, capers and aromatic herbs that go into his dishes.
