Minori is a small town, less touristy than its neighbours, with a pleasant and well laid out waterfront. It is known for its basilica dedicated to Santa Trofimena, who was the patron saint of the Duchy of Amalfi until the relics of Saint Andrew were brought back from Constantinople at the time of the Crusades. The building, founded in the 10th century, was completely remodeled in the 18th century. The relics of the saint are kept in its crypt. In Minori, archaeological excavations have uncovered the ruins of a Roman villa from the imperial period (1st century): even then, the Amalfi coast was prized for the beauty of its landscape
