This 50-meter long, 25-meter wide and up to 6-meter deep open-air pool hosted the 2019 Summer Universiade diving competitions. The whole complex is very clean and well kept. It also has a large solarium and a bar-restaurant, as well as an indoor pool, the Piscina Ettore D'Elia, which is 25 metres long. A good plan for those who prefer sporty swimming to playful swimming along the coast.

Located in the Fuorigrotta district, the Arena was built between 1938 and 1940 for the Mostra d'Oltremare, a universal exhibition to celebrate the colonial expansion of fascist Italy. Inspired by the theatres of Greco-Roman antiquity, this vast modern theatre, representative of the rationalist architecture of the 1930s, now hosts numerous concerts and festivals. Internationally renowned artists such as Bob Dylan, B.B. King and Ben Harper have performed there, and several operas(Aida, Tosca...) have been performed there.

The end of the Riviera di Chiaia towards Mergellina is occupied by the Tennis Club Napoli, the tennis club of the Parthenopean city. In Naples, other sports are often overshadowed by football, which is the passion of all its inhabitants, but this sports club, founded in 1905, is one of the oldest in the city. The complex has eight tennis courts, one of which is clay and has a wide view of the sea. Various tournaments and competitions are regularly held there, such as the Davis Cup in 2014

This historic seaside resort in Naples opened in 1840 and has been frequented by such luminaries as Totò, Oscar Wilde and Richard Wagner. Located in the Posillipo district, at the foot of Palazzo Donn'Anna, it faces the Gulf of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the silhouette of the island of Capri. It consists of a beach and a large platform on stilts where deck chairs are lined up. The coastline of the Posillipo district is occupied by a succession of small bathing establishments that offer approximately the same services: direct access to the sea, rental of deckchairs and umbrellas, and sometimes snack bars or restaurants. The Bagno Sirena is located at the foot of the Palazzo Donn'Anna, a beautiful 17th century building that hangs on a reef and seems to extend into the sea. In the late afternoon, a refreshing swim after a day of sightseeing, facing the silhouette of Vesuvius, is a very pleasant moment.

Il Gabbiano ("the seagull") is a seaside resort in the Marechiaro district, west of Naples. It consists of terraces overlooking the sea, immersed in the lush Mediterranean vegetation. Everything is provided for a few hours of relaxation in complete tranquillity: sun loungers and parasols for hire, seawater swimming pool, bar, restaurant, shaded playground for children, direct access to the sea, parking. The establishment is managed by a mother and her three daughters who offer a smiling welcome and are very available.

Naples does not have its own beach. But along the coastline, several places are accessible for swimming. The most pleasant beaches are located around Posillipo towards Marechiaro. It is better to rent a deckchair, because the ground is not sandy but concrete. There are many bathing establishments under Palazzo Donn'Anna. In Mergellina, small boats shuttle you (€5) to the private beaches of Marechiaro. Finally, some Neapolitans do not hesitate to swim along the coast of Mergellina.

Lido Marechiaro is one of the many beach resorts in the area. Set along the rocky, indented coastline, it has a large platform on stilts above the water, with loungers and parasols lined up. In the evening, the address attracts many customers who come to enjoy the seaside atmosphere on the terrace of its restaurant. If the place is nice for an aperitif, we advise you to dine at one of the nearby restaurants, the trattoria Da Cicciotto or 'A Fenestella.
