A pleasant village about 15 km from Como, Argegno is built along the Telo river, which flows into the lake. The town has existed since Roman times and was fortified in the Middle Ages. There are numerous cafés and restaurants on the lakeshore, offering magnificent views. You can also take advantage of the small pebble beach. Don't miss the Sant'Anna sanctuary, in the neighboring hamlet of the same name, where you can admire frescoes dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Argegno is also the starting point for an excursion to the Val d'Intelvi, where you can visit the Museum of Peasant Civilization in Ponna.
