The Priessnitz spa owes its name to Dr. Vincent Priessnitz, who founded it in 1822. The hydrotherapy methods used here are particularly renowned for treating respiratory and locomotor disorders, among others. As in any water town, there are some beautiful thermal buildings from the 19th century, a pleasant park and numerous leisure facilities. The atmosphere is rather senior and few establishments stay open late at night.
