This city of a little more than 5,000 inhabitants, all in length and literally surrounded by the forest, is also a thermal spa, founded in 1789. It is the most famous spa in the south of Moravia. The architecture here is quite ordinary, except for a few houses on J. Lanáčka Street, for example (such as the Art Nouveau Smetana house). But the spa atmosphere (quiet, wooded environment) and the quality of the water make it a popular destination for Czechs. The bus is the fastest and cheapest way to reach the city (count a little less than 1 hour from Zlín). Remember to make reservations during the spa season, which begins in early May.
