More than 200 km2 of landscape complex shared with its neighbor Lednice make Valtice a must-see for any stay in the region. In this former German colony from the 12th century, the princes of Liechtenstein acquired and transformed the village by building an imposing castle surrounded by luxurious gardens. On the way to the castle, one passes through a beautiful square dominated by a plague column dating from 1680. Nearby is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin and next to it you can visit the small town museum (Městké Muzeum). A pleasant and unmissable stopover in the discovery of southern Moravia.
