Between Bohemia and Moravia, between the Czech Republic and Austria, the small town of Jindřichův Hradec (population 22,000) is a beautiful historic urban reserve. Elements of Gothic, Renaissance and classical architecture are superimposed here in a harmony that is beautifully reflected in the waters of the pond. The most convenient way if you are coming from Prague is by bus (about 2.5 hours), while the train is more comfortable if you are coming from České Budějovice (about 1 hour). The bus and train stations are located 1 km north of the city center. Tourists come here for the castle, but the city center is also worth a look.
