CHURCH OF THE VIRGIN MARY AND SAINT-GILLES

At the level of the gate of České Budĕjovice, one enters this church, which belongs to the complex of the St. Augustine monastery. It conceals a peculiarity that warrants a visit: the altar is served by a double nave supported in its center by three posts dividing the volume into two spaces. Note behind the altar the stalls and the altarpiece of the XVIIIth century. You can also see the gothic presbytery and the fourteenth century ambulatory which has preserved some murals.
