HLUBOKÁ NAD VLTAVOU CASTLE (ZÁMEK)
We reach this castle, one of the most popular of the country, on a large tree-lined road. It is a very great neo-Gothic building that the Schwarzenberg built in 1841-1871 to make their residence and install a large collection of works of art. Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque tower, its current, surchargé, Gothic and surchargé appearance of the th century. It is said that it is one of the country's most beautiful residences, and the visit is justified for the rooms (there are 140!) entirely covered with marquetées woodwork. They are home to beautiful collections: Brussels arms, furniture, tapestries and goblins, paintings (mostly portraits). The largest castle hall is the library, the first edition of the Encyclopédie Encyclopedia. By taking a beautiful winter garden in glass and metal, the old armoury (jízdárna - horse riding room) is reached. The English-style park with its long wooded trails houses ponds and small Baroque buildings… And the Vltava is nearby. In the former Écuries stables, the gallery Aleš (Alšova jihočeská gallery) and art works from the Middle Ages to the present day, including Flemish and th-century paintings from the th and th centuries.
