Thirty-five kilometers west of Plzeň, near Stříbro, the village of Kladruby is worth a stop for its old Benedictine monastery. Buses and trains stop in Stříbro, where you will be able to find more accommodations and restaurants than in Kladruby. Take the opportunity to visit the Baroque gardens known as "Paradise": beautiful green alleys alternating with ponds and fountains form a real little haven of peace and coolness appreciable. From Stříbro, you have to take a local bus to Kladruby. They are frequent and make the trip in about 20 minutes. The monastery is 1.5 km from the village center.
