MUNICIPAL MUSEUM (MĚSTSKÉ MUZEUM)

A commemorative plaque reminds us that Goethe stayed in this house, now a museum, in 1823. It was in fact a former inn, U Zlatého Hroznu (The Golden Grape), built in 1818. Nowadays, you can visit Goethe's apartments, with the period furniture, but also admire some very beautiful geological collections. The entrance fee also gives you access to the 10-hectare Geological Park where minerals from the Slavkov Forest are displayed.
