Opposite the geyser of the Vřídelní kolonáda stands the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, built by Kilián Ignác Dienzenhofer (the great architect of Prague Baroque) in 1736. Inside, there is a Baroque altar by Jakub Eberle and, on one of the side altars, a golden Madonna in the early Gothic style. The church is the setting for organ concerts, which are enhanced by the location and its amazing acoustics (program on the city's website, www.karlovyvary.cz).
