The town lies between the two small mountain ranges Krušné and České Střédohoří. It has long been famous for its thermal springs, which gave it its credentials among the European bourgeoisie in the 19th and early 20th centuries. At that time, the city known as "the salon of Europe" welcomed Chopin, Goethe, Beethoven, Wagner, Liszt... We are far from that today! But this industrialized city is trying to regain its former glory. The city is located less than 100 km from Prague and is easily accessible by the E55 freeway, and many buses leave Prague Hlavni Nadraži every day
