Although modest at 456 m, this hill is a historical, national and symbolic place. Its sober rotunda commemorates the first Slavic settlements and the legend of the arrival of Patriarch Čech. He is said to have chosen this site because it was protected on all sides by the mountains and predicted that "milk and honey" would flow from it. Today, it is mostly a promontory and a superb panorama of the region: the Czech plateau, the Ore Mountains, the Central Bohemian Mountains and even Prague (in very good weather). From Prague, the journey is very easy and takes only an hour by car on the E55.
