The oldest church in the city and even in the region is located in the Nudvojovice district, near the railway station. The first construction of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church dates back to the 12th century. But its present appearance, a discreet little stone church, dates back to 1894. In that year, it was rebuilt in neo-Gothic style, but the Romanesque portal was preserved.
