The spa was founded by Adolf de Shwarzenberk, but the springs have been known since the Middle Ages. Thirty of them gush out here and are used to treat, among other things, cancers, musculoskeletal disorders, burns. In 1935, the first European sanatorium for the treatment of infantile poliomyelitis was opened here. Today, many people continue to visit the spa, and you don't have to be ill to enjoy a day of treatment and the benefits of the waters.
