A town in the far east of Bohemia, and 5 km from the two Polish border towns of Tłumaczów (to the south) and Goliňsk (to the north). Here you feel a bit far from everything, and that's what makes the place so charming. You can take the opportunity to visit the Benedictine monastery of St. Wenceslas, open from April to October, whose recent history is quite sad: it was here that the communist regime detained priests and nuns. Nearby: the small pilgrimage chapel of Hvězda (whose name means "star"). Broumov is a 2-hour train or bus ride from Trutnov and 1.5 hours by car from Hradec Králové
