A very interesting art museum, reopened in 2002 after a successful renovation project. The permanent collection consists of works by artists from the 21st to the th century, including Gainsborough, Lowry, Turner, Francis Bacon, Gauguin, Pissarro, Renoir and many others, but also costumes and a section on decorative arts, all on three floors and rooms. The building itself is classified and is worth a detour. You could spend hours, and as a bonus, it's free!
