Hotel, offering spacious rooms with balcony and beautiful views, in the grounds of Castell de la Suda in Tortosa.
The Parador is located in the magnificent grounds of the Castell de la Suda, overlooking the entire city. Access to the site is spectacular and the garden is free to visit. Although it is medieval in style, it was built a little over twenty years ago. The hill was successively the site of a prehistoric village, a Roman acropolis, an Arab fortress, the medieval castle of the Count of Barcelona Berenguer IV, and then the Templar order. The 82 spacious rooms, with balcony, overlook either Tortosa or the river and valley. Swimming pool (in summer) and garden.

Le Parador de Tortosa est fidèle aux origines du Parador (sauvegarde de monuments historiques par l'exploitation d'hôtels "de luxe"). Il est situé dans le Château de la Zuda. Le personnel d'accueil est très agréable (et qui plus est nôtre hôtesse était francophone!). La chambre est spacieuse, décorée et meublée dans l'esprit médiéval hispanique . Le restaurant est accueillant et les plats goûteux! Le bar permet de terminer agréablement la soirée sous la pergola. Après le check-out, nous avons pu laisser nos valises dans un local fermé à clé!
Cette fois cependant la climatisation était très forte et nos amis n'ont pas du tout apprécié déjeuner dans ce froid alors qu'il y avait 37° dehors. Les repas étaient très bons à part les desserts qui sont toujours un problème.
Il faudrait aussi changer la carte, toujours la même depuis des années.
